Race Relations Acts

Acts of Parliament concerning race relations have been passed in 1965, 1968 and 1976. The most recent Act, which also established the Commission for Racial Equality, prohibits discrimination on the basis of colour, race, nationality or ethnic origin, and also outlaws indirect discrimination in the provision of goods, services, facilities, accommodation, advertisements and, most importantly, employment.
